We are seeking an Intern, Mechanical Draftsman to join our Mechanical Design team. In this role you will be responsible to produce mechanical drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Mechanical Designer.
As part of our internship program you will be exposed to and trained in all aspects of the job ranging from HVAC and P&D drafting to engineering design, project management and team management.
Start Date ~ April 2022

Responsibilities
- Reporting to Mechanical Designer
- Drafting of mechanical systems and components
- Coordinating with the engineering team and other design teams
- Transferring hand marked sketches of design drawings to AutoCAD
- Maintaining and improving visual and functional standards of CAD drawings and final product
- Performing load calculations using engineering software
- Using Microsoft Excel to assist in various engineering calculations
- Assisting mechanical designers in various design duties
- Supporting the engineering team's analysis, evaluations, designs, and implementation
- Currently Completing a Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma/degree or equivalent
- Basic of proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; REVIT considered an asset
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team environment
