Qualifications
- Responsible for weekly and monthly GL Account Report Maintenance and identify improvements/discrepancies.
- Work within the accounting operations team to improve processes by having a thorough understanding of all processes and then elicit requirements using document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis.
- Refund analysis, Direct Bill, and reconciliation.
- Surplus Lines and Taxes support within the insurance industry.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level.
- Utilize analytical tools to identify opportunities for cost savings / efficiency improvement.
- Support Business Units by investigating and resolving ad-hoc payment related inquiries.
- Primary contact for brokers, business partners, and external vendors to address policy discrepancies.
- Develop thorough understanding of Accounting Operations functions and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Proven experience (1 years) in compliance positions within the insurance industry.
- In-depth understanding of insurance taxation and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional focus on detail and organizational aptitude.
- Competency in industry-specific software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and as a collaborative team contributor.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with surplus lines tax requirements specific to various states.
