Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA and PDF/UA
- Advanced Microsoft Word accessibility – Styles, Headings, Tables, Lists, Links, Images, and accessible PDF conversion
- Adobe Acrobat Pro remediation – Tags, Reading Order, Tables, Links, Figures, and Forms
- Accessible fillable PDF forms, including labels, tab order, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader usability
- Document structure, heading hierarchy, reading order, navigation, and alternative text
- Accessibility testing using WAVE, ANDI, WebAIM Contrast Checker, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA, and similar tools
- Experience with PAC/PDF Accessibility Checker and Matterhorn Protocol preferred
Responsibilities:
- Review and remediate policy documents, PDFs, forms, and related materials
- Create accessible Word documents and PDFs
- Remediate existing documents to meet WCAG and PDF/UA requirements
- Conduct automated and manual accessibility testing
- Perform quality-control reviews before publication
