Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Developer / Technical Lead to design, develop, configure, implement, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, specifically the Dynamics 365 Customer Service module, along with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, developers, system engineers, and customers to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, design solutions, configure and customize Dynamics 365, develop custom components, conduct testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide production support.

This position requires someone who can independently handle complex technical assignments while also serving as a liaison between business teams and technical resources.

Key Responsibilities

Dynamics 365 Development & Customization

• Serve as a senior technical resource for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions.
• Provide expertise in the Dynamics 365 Customer Service module.
• Design, configure, customize, develop, deploy, and support Dynamics 365 solutions.
• Create and manage solutions within Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
• Customize and implement:
  • Forms
  • Views
  • Plug-ins
  • Workflows
  • Business Process Flows (BPFs)
  • Business rules and related D365 components
• Troubleshoot and remediate Dynamics 365 technical issues.
• Document technical problems, root causes, solutions, and remediation steps.
• Work with system administrators and other IT resources to implement fixes and enhancements.

Microsoft Power Platform

• Design and develop solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Work extensively with:
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power Pages
  • Dataverse
  • Dynamics 365
• Assist with requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, implementation, testing, and production support.
• Develop solutions using standard and premium connectors in Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Evaluate Power Platform capabilities and recommend the most effective solution for business requirements.
• Prepare mockups and prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions.
• Help establish and maintain Power Platform governance and implementation best practices.

Custom Application Development

• Design and develop web components and custom solutions using:
  • .NET
  • C#
  • JavaScript
  • SQL
  • Azure
  • Power Platform
  • Dynamics 365
• Integrate custom-developed components with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
• Support application enhancements and technical integrations.
• Analyze existing solutions and recommend improvements to performance, maintainability, and usability.

Requirements & Business Analysis

• Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Perform fit-gap analysis between business needs and Dynamics 365/Power Platform capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Assist customers in determining whether Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, or alternative technologies are appropriate for a given requirement.
• Recommend efficient and scalable solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between IT and business units.
• Act as a point of contact for issue logging, tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution.

DevOps, ALM & Governance

• Follow Microsoft best practices for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.
• Contribute to platform governance and standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, requirements documentation, recommendations, and technical analyses.
• Support application lifecycle management and deployment processes.
• Preferred experience with Power Platform DevOps, including:
  • Power Platform Pipelines
  • ALM Accelerator
  • Solution management
  • Deployment automation
  • Environment management

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Document platform usage, configuration, development standards, and recommended practices.
• Review existing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Propose and implement process and policy improvements.
• Align development and support processes with agency and program priorities.

Production & Operational Support

• Provide ongoing application and production support.
• Participate in issue resolution and troubleshooting activities.
• Work collaboratively with developers, system engineers, administrators, and business users.
• Participate in on-call support when required.
• Support after-hours work when necessary.
• Maintain expected service levels while working remotely.
• Respond effectively to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
