Machine Assembler

As a Machine Assembler, you are responsible for assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components into finished equipment according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery.

You will work hands-on with tools, parts, and assemblies while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. If you enjoy building, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role is a strong fit.

Machine Assembler Role & Responsibilities

• Assembly & Build
  
  

oAssemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and full machines according to engineering drawings and specifications

oRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions

oEnsure proper alignment, fit, and function of all assembled components

• Quality & Testing
  
  

oInspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met

oPerform basic functional testing and identify defects or inconsistencies

oReport issues and collaborate with engineering or leadership on corrective actions

• Tools & Equipment
  
  

oUtilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (calipers, gauges, etc.)

oMaintain tools in good working condition and follow proper storage procedures

• Documentation
  
  

oComplete assembly documentation, checklists, and production records accurately

oTrack parts usage and notify leadership of shortages or discrepancies

• Safety & Compliance
  
  

oFollow all OSHA and company safety standards

oMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment (5S alignment)

• Collaboration & Support
  
  

oWork cross-functionally with machinists, technicians, and engineering teams

oSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency and quality

• Other Duties
  
  

oPerform additional tasks as assigned to support production and operational goals

Knowledge

Machine Assembler Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems is a plus

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues

• Basic Math: Ability to perform measurements and calculations (fractions, decimals, tolerances)
• Communication: Ability to clearly communicate issues, updates, and handoffs across shifts
• Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to work varying shifts (8–12 hours, occasional weekends)
• Time Management: Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

• Constant standing, walking, and repetitive motions
• Frequent lifting/carrying of 25–50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs)
