Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and adjust coating machinery to meet production targets and specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues. Troubleshoot when necessary to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating and replacing basic components.
- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality, coating consistency and absence of defects
- Maintain accurate production documentation, including machine settings, production outputs and quality checks.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and staging of finished goods.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required Personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, CBA standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide direction and assistance to Helpers during production runs.
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and production priorities.
- Support the training and mentoring of entry-level employees on safe and efficient machine operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of machine operator experience (coating, slitting, laminating, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and troubleshoot machine operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
