This individual will be responsible for the daily clinical operation of the program in collaboration with the Regional Clinical Director and Administrator. The Clinical Director will supervise and train the staff clinicians and counselor interns directly. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing acceptable professional and ethical standards of the facility’s clinical services according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. Assists in assuring that the facility meets all related local, state, federal, and accrediting-body rules, and regulations. In addition, he/she works closely with the Regional Clinical Director and Administrator to assure the clinical components of the facility are appropriately coordinated and meet all regulatory and patient care standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the establishment, maintenance, continuing improvement, and enforcement of acceptable professional and ethical standards and performance of the clinical staff and direct-care personnel.
- Reports to the Administrator regarding the quality and efficiency of clinical care provided.
- Oversees clinical issues of day-to-day operations
- Maintains open line of communication with leadership team, Administrator and Medical Team.
- Ensures clinical documentation by clinical staff is completed within timeframes outlined by organization policy and state regulations
- Ensures to use the utmost of care in protecting the confidentiality of client records in accordance with State and Federal laws
- Evaluates performance and competency of clinical staff members in accordance with organization policy.
- Contributes and participates in performance-improvement studies as needed to assess clinical and direct care staff
- Oversee compliance of clinical behavioral health components with regulatory standards (e.g. Joint Commission).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Unrestricted independent practice recognized licensure in state, to include Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft or Google is required.
- Skills in written and oral communication; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic.
- Skills in maintaining self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands.
- Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility.
