Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Weekend In-Home Caregivers to provide quality care to clients in their homes from 8am to 10am. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a safe and caring environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer aids to assist with mobility and transfers
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, personalized care
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, adhering to privacy standards like HIPAA
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's through specialized memory care techniques
Skills
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for patient transfers or mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor when working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations
- Experience with hospice care, nursing home environments, or home health services is advantageous
