Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor health conditions in accordance with care plans prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Observe and report any changes in client health or behavior promptly to supervisors or medical teams.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a secure environment for clients and caregivers alike.
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or post-acute care environments. Experience working within Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine is highly valued, especially if you have exposure to emergency medicine or Level I Trauma Centers. Prior work in specialized areas like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), geriatrics, medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics will strengthen your application. Demonstrated experience in inpatient or sub-acute care settings is preferred. Candidates with teaching hospital experience or outpatient care backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Additionally, familiarity with post-acute and home-based care environments will be considered advantageous for this role.
