Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Deliver medication reminder to client following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain safety and compliance.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs; assist with transfers safely.
- Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare teams to deliver consistent and personalized support for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or developmental disabilities.
Skills
- Proven experience in home care, home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory care needs.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility; familiarity with Hoyer lifts is a plus.
