What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineering Technician (Special Inspector) position at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician (Special Inspector) in Pensacola, FL. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Performing field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt
- Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations
- Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
- Performing laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results
- Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues
Qualifications:
- ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing certification is required
- ICC Reinforced Concrete and/or Soils is required (at least one, but both are preferred)
- Post-Tensioning Level I certification is highly preferred
