What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master of Special Inspection (MSI) position at Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC?
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Master of Special Inspection (MSI) in our Raleigh, NC office.
Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- 5 years construction materials testing and inspection experience required
- ICC Certifications are required:
- Structural Welding
- Structural Steel and Bolting
- Structural Masonry
- Reinforced Concrete
