What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator for Electrical Contractor position at Nova Electric LLC?
Our rapidly expanding electrical contracting firm is growing its clientele, and we have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in electrical field, be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and driven. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus medical, dental, vision and 401K plans.
Knowledge of ConEst is a huge plus.
- Electrical experience is a must
- Work closely with the VP to create, review and evaluate cost estimates
- Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Understand scope of work to bid
- Manage bid pricing from all vendors
- Prepare cost analysis
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Examples of Estimator skills
- 1 years’ experience in electrical estimating
- Knowledge and experience with ConEst and PlanSwift programs a huge plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field
- Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
- Strong understanding of both commercial and residential construction processes
- Proficiency in Excel
- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Impeccable problem-solving skill
