Role Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Elevator Repair Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating elevator repair activities, managing service schedules, and ensuring timely communication between customers, technicians, vendors, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Queens, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate elevator repair work, corrective actions, and violation removals.
- Dispatch technicians based on availability, location and service priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding repair status, timelines, and service updates.
- Create, maintain, and manage work orders, service records, and repair documentation.
- Monitor repair progress and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Coordinate parts procurement and inventory requirements with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain compliance records and assist with regulatory inspections and reporting requirements.
- Track service metrics and prepare operational reports for management.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and management teams to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in service coordination, dispatching, facilities management, construction, property management, or a related field.
- Experience in the elevator industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
