We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that our food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing work surfaces.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during meal service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
- Help set up for banquets and special events, ensuring all food items are presented attractively.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with guests when necessary.
- Assist in catering operations as needed, including transporting food to event locations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, especially in fine dining or restaurant settings.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience as a dietary aide or barista is an advantage.
