Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Upper Level Math

Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP), a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 - 12 located in Towson, Maryland, seeks a full-time long-term substitute in our Math Department for the 2026 - 2027 school year. This position will involve teaching sections of Algebra I and Pre-Calculus.

Grounded in Catholic teaching and inspired by the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, we expect our employees to foster a culture in which students are encouraged to explore their passions, deepen their faith, and build lasting bonds of sisterhood.

Dates for the position are approximately October 1^th to November 30^th (end date subject to change). 

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Algebra I and Pre-Calculus classes to Upper Level.
• Teach 4 sections that each meet 3 out of 4 days in the schedule rotation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and other school-wide events.
• Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field required.
• Masters degree in Math, Teaching or related field preferred.
• Maryland State Teacher Certification and demonstrated expertise in the teaching of Math preferred. 
• A passion for teaching Math to high school students. 
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.  
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of the Math Department and the NDP community. 
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
