At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!The Notre Dame Alumni Association (NDAA) seeks an experienced professional to serve as the International Alumni Engagement Program Director. The International Alumni Relations Program Director will lead the engagement of Notre Dame's international alumni and friends. This position is responsible for creating and implementing programming for international alumni and friends, recruiting and stewarding volunteer leaders, and supporting international clubs for this constituency base. This position will also support broader efforts of the NDAA Clubs Team.Key Responsibilities and Essential DutiesThe International Alumni Engagement Program Director will be responsible for a broad range of activities essential to connecting our global alumni community:Global Alumni Engagement & Program Development
- Develop, organize, and manage programs (virtual and in-person) that strategically connect international alumni to the University and support Notre Dame's overall mission of internationalization.
- Travel to targeted areas and countries (3–5 international trips annually) to engage alumni, build relationships in key constituencies, and execute programs.
- Utilize myNotreDame to gather, analyze, and maintain data to determine priorities and make strategic decisions.
- Develop/refine/manage tools aimed at enhancing club network engagement and aiding club presidents and volunteer leaders to better manage their clubs.
- Onboard new club presidents, build relationships, and provide day-to-day support and guidance to international clubs.
- Seek out and communicate best practices across clubs, and identify opportunities to recognize clubs for exemplary efforts.
- Plan and execute one international weekend meeting for club leaders per year.
- Assist International Regional Directors (NDAA Board Members) in their support of clubs and club leaders, including the planning and execution of regional meetings (in-person and virtually)
- Co-lead the Regional Director Committee, including co-creation of the meeting agendas and work of the Committee.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key University partners responsible for international activities, including, but not limited to, Notre Dame Global, the Keough School of Global Affairs, Admissions, and Development.
- Lead project management and communication with clubs for the Hesburgh Lecture program (domestic and international)
- Coordinate across the NDAA Programs Team to ensure international alumni and clubs have a diverse slate of programming.
- Build and coordinate events and programs with key internationally focused campus partners
- Support the work of the Clubs Team and Notre Dame Alumni Association.
- Bachelor’s degree
- A strong understanding of, or willingness to learn, the unique challenges and opportunities of international alumni engagement.
- Proven experience in program management, event planning, and/or community building, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse international audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Experience utilizing database systems for data gathering, organization, and reporting.
- Ability to inspire and rally volunteers around Notre Dame’s mission.
- The willingness and ability to travel internationally 3–5 times per fiscal year is essential.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Salary : $70,000
