Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, skill levels, and learning goals.
- Deliver engaging instruction on acoustic and upright bass techniques, music theory, and performance skills across various age groups.
- Develop curriculum materials that incorporate diverse musical genres, styles, and pedagogical approaches to keep lessons fresh and motivating.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students progress confidently in their musical journey.
- Collaborate with other instructors or program coordinators to enhance the overall educational experience through interdisciplinary activities such as theater or dance.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching acoustic or upright bass in both individual and group settings.
- Strong background in music education with knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with children, teenagers, and adult learners across various skill levels.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, special education needs, behavior management strategies, and childhood development concepts.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a lively, motivating teaching style that inspires students of all backgrounds.
- Experience working with diverse populations including preschoolers, children with special needs, or adult learners is highly desirable.
