The Administrative Assistant for the Academics Department provides high-level administrative
support to the Assistant Superintendent of Academics, including support for English Language
Education (ELE) and Nursing. The position plays a key role in managing the growing volume
and complexity of administrative responsibilities related to teaching and learning, particularly
those associated with the district’s expanding Multilingual Learner (ML) population.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities. This role supports the efficient operation of the Assistant Superintendent’s office, including scheduling, communications, budget support, and coordination of ELE program activities such as ACCESS testing support. The Administrative Assistant helps ensure that students, educators, and families receive timely and effective support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide administrative support to the Assistant Superintendent of Academics.
•Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination.
•Assist with organization and monitoring of departmental budgets and purchasing.
•Support operations related to the English Language Education (ELE) program, including coordination related to ACCESS testing.
•Prepare reports and materials for internal and public use as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
•Maintain records, documentation, and correspondence related to academic programs.
•Coordinate communication with schools, staff, and external partners as needed.
•Assist with logistics for meetings, professional development, and district initiatives related to academics.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and/or Building Principal.
