As an Environmental Services Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall aesthetic of our 120-bed skilled nursing community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Environmental Services team and drive excellence in this critical area of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Environmental Services department, including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance
- Develop and implement effective cleaning and disinfection protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
- Coordinate with nursing and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Manage and supervise a team of Environmental Services staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high-quality performance
- Develop and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to Environmental Services
- Conduct regular audits and surveys to assess the effectiveness of Environmental Services and identify areas for improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident satisfaction and care outcomes
- 3 years of experience in an Environmental Services leadership role in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and disinfection protocols, as well as OSHA regulations and guidelines
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
