Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing all nursing department functions.
Support, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff performance to ensure high standards of care.
Monitor resident care and participate in care plan development and quality assurance activities.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations and policies.
Participate in staff education, training, and orientation programs.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to ensure coordinated care.
Assist in staffing, scheduling, and maintaining adequate coverage on all shifts.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work culture within the nursing department.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut (required).
Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
Strong knowledge of DPH, CMS, and state/federal regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
