What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - Athletic Training - Norwich University position at Norwich University?
The Department of Health and Human Performance is seeking to add to our adjunct pool to teach courses serving the Master of Athletic Training program. This is for in-person, hybrid, or online instruction based on the course needs. This position is for the 2025-2026 academic year on the Norwich University campus, located in Northfield, Vermont. Adjunct faculty teach part-time on a course-by-course basis. Assignments are dependent on pending student enrollment, program needs, and expertise of the candidate.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, student retention, and recruitment.
Salary is based on number of credits assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Masters degree (terminal academic or clinical doctorate preferred) leading to advanced practice in one of the domains of Athletic Training (Injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion; Examination Assessment, and Diagnosis; Immediate and emergency response; Therapeutic intervention; Health care administration and professional responsibility).
- Athletic training faculty must be certified and in good standing with the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers, have a National Provider Identification (NPI) number, and possess Vermont state licensure as an Athletic Trainer at time of employment.
- 3 years of clinical experience in the field of Athletic Training
