Norwescap is seeking a Provisional Volunteer Coordinator responsible for developing, leading and expanding volunteer opportunities for seniors 55 and older to support organizational goals, focusing on recruiting, training, and retaining Volunteer members. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external organizations to support engagement and volunteer needs.
Essential Functions
▪ Recruit and work with older adult volunteers for the RSVP program
▪ Secure community nonprofit volunteer stations (includes recruitment, presentations, etc.)
▪ Create, maintain, and enhance relationships with nonprofits, volunteer stations, volunteers, and community partners
▪ Conduct periodic site visits to the volunteer stations to ensure compliance
▪ Recruit other volunteers as needed for program operations
▪ Conduct new volunteer orientation and volunteer placements at nonprofit volunteer stations
▪ Develop and coordinate Advisory Council
▪ Coordinate community engagement activities for volunteers (events, outings, trainings, etc.)
▪ Volunteer administration (background checks, mileage tracking, and reimbursements)
▪ Organize and provide volunteer recognition
▪ Attend/participate in community meetings/events/conferences, including conducting presentations

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree preferred
- Some experience managing volunteers preferred
- Strong Interpersonal and Organizational Skills Attention to Detail and Multi-tasking
- Market and communication
- Problem Solving and critical thinking, as well as being flexible and team oriented
- Experience working with Senior Adults (55 )
- Volunteer Management Skills
