Job Title: Ship Store - Associate Team Member
Overview: The Sales Associate at Norwalk Cove Marina is a unique position supporting the Ship Store Manager at Norwalk’s largest full-service marina. You would be working in a beautiful, active, waterfront location. The Sale's Assistant is responsible for helping marina patrons with purchases, inventory control and display setup. The Ship’s Store offers a wide range of goods including our Nautical Boutique, outdoor wear, and marine hardware departments. This position is part time seasonal and pay is based on experience.

- Comfortable speaking with customers and exceptional customer service skills
- Works well with others to execute various tasks efficiently and without supervision Willing to learn our Marina Management Software “Dockmaster” and how to process transactions, familiar with MS office suite, Google Docs
- Ready to work weekends and holidays throughout the summer
- Enthusiastic
- Positive Attitude
- Boating experience a plus
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers, answering phones, assisting customers with transactions, setting up displays, sales promotion coordination and supporting the Ship’s Store Manager
- Help Store Manager maintain an organized inventory control system within “Dockmaster”
- Accurate perpetual inventory throughout the year
- Properly receiving and checking in inventory
- Help set-up store layout and physical inventory locations for marine goods within “Dockmaster”
- Work with management and outreach team to develop weekly content for advertising and marketing initiatives to drive sales
- Always ensure high quality aesthetic appearance in store
- Store opening and closing responsibilities
- Open and close out cash drawers, process credit and debit cards
- Prepare daily cash deposits and report to accounting department
- Maintain and utilize VHF base station radio operations (in case of emergency when Dockmaster is not present)
Compensation:
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 hourly (based on experience)
