What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Forensic Nursing Services - Advanc position at Norton Sound Health Corp?
Purpose of Position:
Provide leadership and oversight of the Forensic Nursing Program, including direct medical-forensic services, supervision of the SANE team, and coordination of community education and outreach. Deliver advanced clinical care to patients affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, child maltreatment, and strangulation. Manage program operations, grants, and multidisciplinary collaboration in alignment with NSHC’s mission and values.

Essential Functions:
• Perform medical-forensic assessments, examinations, and documentation per program protocols and standing orders.
• Provide advanced clinical care as an FNP, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients experiencing interpersonal violence.
• Supervise and mentor forensic nursing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and clinical education.
• Manage grant-funded program activities, including reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate 24/7 coverage and on-call scheduling for forensic services.
• Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives, including case reviews and team meetings.
• Develop and deliver education and outreach on forensic nursing topics to internal staff and community partners.
• Facilitate regional Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and participate in multidisciplinary teams such as the Child Advocacy Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work may be conducted outside in inclement weather conditions
