What are the responsibilities and job description for the Itinerant Health Aide Student position at Norton Sound Health Corp?
Purpose of Position:
Temporary hire for the purposes of re-entry.
Itinerant Health Aide Students are hired on a conditional basis for up to four weeks. A re-entry with Health Aide Training (HAT) will be scheduled prior to student attending orientation. Re-entry will consist of one week of training in Nome or another village in the region, at the discretion of HAT. If a student does not re-enter as a Session II or higher, their employment will be terminated.

Essential Functions:
- Attend re-entry at the discretion of Health Aid Training.
- Learn the basics of the Clinic Travel Specialist (CTS) role, including but not limited to answering phones, registering and scheduling patient visits, scanning, inventory, supply orders, cleaning, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
∙Work is conducted in a standard clinical environment to include exposure to latex, biohazard or other harmful substances.
∙Travel required, Itinerant travel 100% of the time.
∙Travel is done via large aircraft.
∙Travel is done via small (less than 16 passenger) aircraft.
∙Travel is done using snowmobile, all terrain vehicle, or boat.
