Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a tax lawyer to join its Projects team. The ideal candidate will have two to seven years of relevant experience and a strong background in tax law and interest in renewable energy, with location flexibility across DC, Denver, Houston, or the New York office.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with renewable energy incentives such as the various tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act. This role involves supporting senior associates and partners who work with project developers, lenders and investors on solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, electric transmission and similar projects. As part of our team, you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge developments in federal tax law and work closely with leading practitioners in the field.
Key Requirements:
- 2-7 years’ experience as a tax lawyer.
- Familiarity with renewable energy incentives, such as the various tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act, and partnership taxation is preferred.
- Strong academic credentials.
- LLM in taxation is preferred.
- Prior work experience within a large law firm is preferred.

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The full-time base salary per year for this position will range between $235,000 - $420,000. This range represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for a position in DC, New York, and Denver. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
