Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Pharmacy-Controlled Substance supports and assists the Pharmacist in the controlled substance medication use process. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in providing safe and efficient medication management/patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees and the public, preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, overseeing the control substance process and reconciling control substances daily, while adhering to regulatory guidelines (BOP, DEA, etc).
Qualifications
Required:
- One year hospital pharmacy experience or completion of American Society of Health System Pharmacists accredited pharmacy technician program

Desired:
- Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
