What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Room Attendant position at Northwood Hospitality?
Job Summary:
We are looking for a professional Room Attendant able of attending to Conrad Nashville with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.The Room Attendant cleans and maintains all guests’ rooms, corridors, and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness.
Essential Functions:
- Cleans and sanitizes all assigned rooms and bathrooms
- Replaces all amenities and linens according to hotel standards
- Keeps cart and linen closets clean and orderly
- Notifies Supervisors of discrepancies such as vacant rooms, etc.
- Turns in lost and found items as per hotel standards
- Assists in preparation and deep cleaning of VIP rooms
- Completes special cleaning projects
- Anticipates guest needs, demonstrating sensitivity and responsiveness, ensuring complete guest satisfaction and repeat business
- Familiar/knowledgeable about the hotel and able to explain the locations and operating hours of hotel facilities
- Gives recognition to repeat guests
- Follows procedures when entering guest rooms, always keeping the guest’s need for privacy in mind
- Handles all guest complaints, notifies Manager of actions taken
- Special projects and duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year housekeeping/cleaning experience (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year hotel experience (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality and customer service focused.
- Team player
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
- Ability to life, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extend periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
