What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cashier (Internal) position at Northwestern Oklahoma State University?

Terms of Employment: Regular, full-time, 12-month position with university benefit package. Located at the Business Office on the Alva Campus. Position open until filled.
Duties and Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, the head cashier will prepare the Alva campus cash drawer for daily transactions and collect accounts receivable transactions in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards. The head cashier will assist NWOSU students in maintenance of individual accounts. Prepares for the mailing of periodic statements to students and makes phone calls and sends emails to remind students of delinquent accounts and attempts to collect on these accounts in a timely manner. Responsible for balancing various postage accounts and overseeing the university mail room and package room. Assists in the preparation and organization of the daily courier items and substitutes for the courier driver when needed. Position requires occasional business-related travel for the University, specifically in substituting for the courier driver. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Requires the ability to remain courteous, helpful, professional, and level-headed in all situations. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a self-starter are required. Attention to detail is a must. Success in this position requires maintaining a service-minded and positive attitude. Maintenance of confidentiality is of utmost importance.
