Overall Function
Administrative Assistant Intern specializes in client service and supporting the financial representative as he/she focuses on building his/her practice and client relationships. The Administrate Assistant Intern ensures the continuation of an efficient, effective and organized office. This individual is a liaison between the network office as well as the financial representative and clients. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Specific Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Welcome all incoming guests and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel
- Prepare and submit all insurance applications
- Assist and communicate with clients through the underwriting process
- Schedule and monitor medicals for prospects/clients
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Handle incoming non-securities related service requests from clients: processing address changes, bank change information, loan requests, and ISA service inquiries.
- eFile new statements, account forms, and other insurance related materials
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with assigned Financial Advisors to review their open case inventory and provide case progression updates
- Any other tasks/responsibilities deemed appropriate by management.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a 4-year degree
- Ability to work part-time year-round
- Obtain PA Life & Health license within one month upon hire
- Administrative support or customer service experience to include computer experience and/or data entry and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in financial services industry or knowledge of insurance preferred.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and time management skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Compensation/Hours
$15 - $20 | 20 hours per week
