POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking to add a bilingual recruiter who will join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, is great at building relationships in the community, and can identify the best talent to join our team of Financial Advisors. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, select, and contract Financial Advisors.
The wealth management industry is experiencing a well-documented shortage of financial advisors driven by retirements, demographic shifts, and increased client demand for comprehensive planning. At the same time, significant practice transitions and succession needs across the industry are creating both urgency and opportunity for firms to attract, assess and develop high-caliber talent. This role focuses on ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate experience while maintaining rigorous selection standards aligned with long-term business sustainability. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder who thrives in a community-focused environment, brings a high level of organization and attention to detail, and can confidently manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through selection.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and develop effective referral sources within the agency, develop productive centers of influence (COIs), and develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources (i.e., referrals, COIs, advertising, career fairs, social media, etc.)
- Actively participate in community organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
- Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies to promote Northwestern Mutual’ s recruitment and brand awareness efforts in the community
- Specific selection process accountability to include but not limited to screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, administering selection tools, and guiding candidates through the selection process
- Review resumes, schedule and conduct initial interviews
- Effectively communicate with candidates and oversee the entire selection process from start to finish
- Report weekly recruiting activity to leadership team
- Develop proficiency and use of home office-supported software to maintain candidate databases and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
- Oversight of contract and licensing responsibilities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 years professional work experience, preferably in recruiting, sales, and/or marketing
- Strong personal network and/or community involvement to leverage from a recruiting perspective
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ·Experience managing full cycle recruiting or high-volume candidate pipelines
- Familiarity with structured interview processes and selection best practices
- Background recruiting for professional, commission-based or entrepreneurial roles
- Knowledge of or involvement in the Greater Tampa Bay professional community
