We are seeking a Recruiter for our Springfield District Office. This role is responsible for attracting talent and collaborating with leadership to meet the growth goals of our firm. We have a dedicated and fun team that is looking for someone who shares our values of courage, passion, and growth. This person will serve as a community representative of our organization and will have an active presence in the Springfield area, building quality relationships and promoting the Northwestern Mutual career.
The position involves continuous sourcing, cultivation of referrals, pipeline management, and development and execution of recruiting strategies. Critical competencies for the Recruiter include interpersonal savvy, priority setting, strong verbal and written communication skills, and drive for results. This role is best suited for a proactive, team-oriented person who can work independently and thrives on achieving goals and helping others achieve their career goals.
This is an onsite position located in our Springfield, IL office and may include occasional travel to events or our other offices in Central Illinois.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Selection
• Develop effective referral sources within the office, with community advocates, and from a variety of other sources that generate leads
• Identify new prospects by participating in community clubs and organizations.
• Lead and promote office brand on social media platforms and in community forums and by participating in community clubs and organizations
• Create or update marketing materials as needed
• Actively source leads from online and social platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc)
• Own relationship and communication with candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle
• Administer screening tools and assessments
• Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices
Accountability, Tracking, and Analysis
• Utilize applicant tracking system to maintain accurate records
• Prepare regular reports for manager/leadership team meetings
• Analyze and identify recruiting ratios and process inefficiencies; establish and implement improvements
Qualifications
• 3 years of professional work experience, preferably in sales, recruiting, or related field
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member and with all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated knowledge of internet sourcing platforms
• Strong network of personal/professional advocates or community involvement
