Northwestern Mutual Central Illinois is seeking a Campus Recruiter to establish high-level quality relationships with colleges and universities in the Central Illinois region. Our office locations include Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, Springfield, Decatur, and Quincy. The Recruiter will focus on promoting the Northwestern Mutual career, internship and brand by building relationships with educational institutions, generating referrals, and developing centers of influence. They will play a key role in creating and executing the recruiting plan to reach agency goals.

This position could be based in one of our central offices: Champaign, Bloomington, or Peoria. It will include travel to colleges and universities across Central Illinois.
Primary Responsibilities
Sourcing
· Build and develop effective referrals from a variety of sources: Financial Representatives/staff, centers of influence, advertising, career fairs, social media, etc.
· Engage with universities, attend career fairs, and host career days to connect with students and recent graduates.
· Create and execute on network office recruiting plan to reach activity and contract goals.
· Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to promote and brand Northwestern Mutual
Selection
· Be knowledgeable on information and language around the Financial Representative internship/career and each step of the selection process
· Screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, administer selection tools and guide candidates through the selection process
· Maintain integrity and consistency of the selection process
· Effectively communicate with candidates
Leadership
· Work with leadership team in developing specific recruiting strategies and activities necessary to reach recruiting goals
· Monitor and report on actual activity and results
· Participate in company and industry training programs and work to improve the recruiting and selection skills of the entire leadership team
· Create and execute on a professional development plan built with input and guidance from the leadership team
Accountability, Tracking, and Analysis
· Analyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies in the selection process; establish and implement improvements
· Utilize proprietary software to maintain the candidate database and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process
· Maintain network office spreadsheet of campus opportunities and assign as needed
· Prepare activity/results for leadership team meetings and coordinate regular meetings to review, assess, and establish actions based on data
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
· Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others
· Ability to generate leads via phone or face-to-face interactions
· Strong personal network and/or community involvement to leverage from a recruiting perspective
· Ability to travel across the Central Illinois network to build and maintain relationships with local universities; existing or recent relationships with local universities is strongly preferred
