Summary & Qualifications:

Summary

This position provides functional support for the EES office; handles registrations both online and over the phone, assists instructors and contracts, submits financial records and requests, supports the EES team with programming and communication tasks.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Personal motor vehicle for use during working hours required
  • Valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license or ability to obtain by start date
  • Ability to work in the office at the University Center as well as remotely

PREFERRED

  • Associate’s degree

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serves as a front line person for managing registrations
  • Assists with instructor contracts and pay
  • Supports EES team with programming tasks
  • Trains and supports new staff on all office duties such as registration, instructor contracts, communication, and business office processes
  • Responds in a timely fashion, with eagerness, and positivity, to inquiries from walk-in customers, phone calls, email, and social media

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma required. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Computer skills, including knowledge of Internet, email, calendaring software Internet software, and Google Suite.
