Qualifications Include
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field of study
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills; excellent listening and comprehension ability
- Must have previous work experience with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have general knowledge of Adobe Suite products
- Experience in multi-media channels, including video editing and production and photography
- Demonstrate excellent computer, analytical, problem solving, and organization skills Learn and use required equipment, computer hardware, and software programs
- Effective project management skills with track record of completing projects on time and on budget to meet competing deadlines
- Work in a team environment as well as the discipline and drive to work independently with limited supervision to meet goals
- Must adapt quickly to changes in work task assignments
- Meet firm deadlines of projects, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exhibit professional sensitivity and restraint in the face of demanding work conditions
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Familiarity with Human Resources practices and polices is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% of time, including some overnight stays
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
- Able to take complex information and turn it into easy-to-understand copy including determining the appropriate modes and methods of communication
- Translate company information and goals into communication pieces that are relatable to every employee and their role
- Write and develop content for a variety of mediums including newsletters, text, email and digital channels
- Create and edit videos for impactful storytelling
- Capture and edit photographs to complement written content with compelling visuals
- Design and implement communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work environment
- Play key role in developing and refreshing content for company intranet tools
- Ensure external channel alignment
- Ensure consistency in messaging and brand alignment across all HR communications
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and provide recommendations for improvement
- Balance competing deadlines and budgetary constraints with the complexity, visibility and importance of the job
- Crisis communication support to ensure employees are informed during major events
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and outside partners to execute successful communications from concept to completion that are on-time and on-brand
- Identify and determine topics or subject matter experts for various projects
- Familiarity with keyword placement, AI tools and other search engine optimization best practices
- Work closely with HR team members and other business units to assess and address communication needs including assisting in the preparation of employee-delivered presentations
- Responsible for development and distribution of weekly newsletter for all supervisors and managers
- Work closely with Corporate Communications to assist in preparation of news releases, fact sheets, and other external and internal communication materials
