Position Overview: Northwest Yeshiva High School is seeking a dynamic and motivated Development Coordinator to join our team. This part-time or full-time position is a key role in supporting the school’s fundraising efforts, managing critical administrative tasks, and enhancing community engagement. Reporting to the Head of School, the Coordinator will be responsible for organizing fundraising events, and ensuring smooth coordination of community events tied to fundraising initiatives. The role is essential for maintaining strong relationships with current donors, identifying new donor sources, and ensuring effective communication both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising and Development Coordination:
o Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events throughout the year, ensuring alignment with school goals and donor interests.
o Collaborate with the Head of School to implement strategies for meeting annual fundraising targets of $600,000.
o Proactively identify new potential donors and develop strategies to engage them.
o Provide weekly progress reports on fundraising activities, donor engagement, and event success.
2. Donor Management and Communication:
o Manage donor communications and relationships, ensuring timely responses and personalized outreach.
o Oversee donor management using the school’s Donor Management System (DMS) to track contributions, manage gift acknowledgment, and generate reports.
o Assist with preparing and distributing Annual Donor Statements, ensuring all information is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
3. Administrative Support:
o Coordinate logistics for community events that integrate fundraising, ensuring effective execution and strong participation.
o Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including organizing meetings, scheduling, and preparing materials for various stakeholders.
4. Communications:
o Ensure consistency and alignment with the school’s mission and branding in all written and verbal communications.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to promote fundraising events and community engagement.
5. Reporting and Coordination:
o Track and report on fundraising progress against the $600,000 target, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
o Work closely with the Head of School to ensure alignment of fundraising activities with the school’s broader mission and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, development , nonprofit management, or related field. 1

- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and event coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience using donor management systems (DMS) or related software.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $50,000 to $80,000 per year
