Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon

Overview

Northwest Permanente (NWP) is the largest multispecialty medical group in Oregon and southwest Washington with 1,500 physicians and 300 administrative professionals caring for 615,000 Kaiser Permanente members. Northwest Permanente is owned and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 50 specialties.

We are seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Head and Neck Surgeon to join our Portland, Oregon team. Fellowship training is not required, but endocrine training is a plus. Our department has 19 physicians, including generalists and specialists, and is affiliated with Oregon Health Sciences University, with staff involved in resident education.

• 1:6 call schedule
• Teaching responsibilities in head and neck surgery
• Convenient hospital facility layout, with the OR, clinic, and inpatient floors in close proximity to support collaboration with head and neck surgery partners
• Well-rounded head and neck surgery partner team, including general head and neck surgeons and subspecialists (neurotology, laryngology, rhinology, facial plastics, gender-affirming care, cancer surgery)
• Experienced support staff
• Access to a physician-friendly, advanced Epic EMR
• Opportunities for medical group leadership, if desired
• Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

The annual salary for this position is $379,500 - $462,800 prorated to $341,550 - $416,520 for the 4-day work week.  The salary range considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, NWP offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
