Position Summary
The Otolaryngologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck. This role includes evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment across a broad spectrum of conditions in both outpatient and affiliated hospital settings.
The physician is expected to exercise a high level of clinical judgment and autonomy in a dynamic private practice environment, contributing not only to patient care but also to the overall effectiveness and growth of the practice.
Clinical interests may include, but are not limited to, rhinology, otology, laryngology, head and neck surgery, facial plastics, and pediatric otolaryngology.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with ENT-related conditions across all age groups
- Perform a full range of in-office and surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medical and surgical management
- Prescribe medications and therapies appropriate to patient conditions
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory testing
- Provide consultative services and accept referrals from other providers
- Participate in shared call coverage, including hospital and/or practice-based call responsibilities
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation, including operative reports, consults, and discharge summaries
- Communicate and coordinate care with referring providers, hospitals, and ancillary services
- Engage in quality assurance, utilization review, risk management, and peer review activities
- Respond to patient inquiries, review results, and manage prescription renewals in a timely manner
- Support appropriate coding, billing, and payer communication as needed

Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Otolaryngology residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology
- Active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the State of Oregon
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
