About the Position
Northwest Pediatric Eye Care is looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator to join our team. We are a well-established pediatric optometry practice serving children and their families throughout the Eastside.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment where every child and family feels cared for from the moment they arrive.
We're looking for someone who is naturally friendly, highly organized, and enjoys helping children and their families. As the first person our patients meet, you'll set the tone for every visit and play an important role in creating a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and families with a warm, professional attitude
- Answer a busy multi-line phone system
- Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain referrals when needed
- Check patients in and out
- Collect copays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and perform general office duties
- Work closely with physicians and staff to keep the office running smoothly each day
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience required
- Medical office experience preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new office software
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and families
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 35–40 hours per week
- No evenings or weekends
Compensation & Benefits
- $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
