We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialized finishing equipment.
- Apply techniques such as troweling, floating, edging, brooming, and stamping to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Install rebar reinforcement and formwork to support concrete placement and ensure structural integrity.
- Must have knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and screeds, and be able to do so safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation tasks related to existing concrete structures as needed.
- Coordinate with team members and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to identify issues early and maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Assist in site preparation activities including heavy lifting, layout marking, and setting up scaffolding or formwork systems.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, framing carpentry.
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for precise project execution.
- Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, floats, edgers; power tools including mixers and grinders; heavy machinery like concrete pumps; and heavy equipment safely on construction sites.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and protocols.
- Familiarity with concrete pumping systems for efficient placement of materials.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds and physical endurance required for demanding construction tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly across trades; detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
