Manager, Business Technology & AI

Northwest Investment Corp. provides strategic and operational support to affiliated professional services firms, Tower Trust & Investment Company and Centennial Tax & Accounting. We are seeking a Manager, Business Technology & AI to help our organization work more efficiently by improving workflows, maximizing the use of existing systems, and adopting AI tools thoughtfully and responsibly.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for a small organization (approximately 50 employees). It is not a traditional IT position and does not involve managing infrastructure, hardware, or a help desk.

Key Responsibilities

Business Systems Optimization

• Improve day-to-day use of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot)
• Enhance CRM usage, reporting, and data quality
• Improve document management and internal workflows
• Optimize industry-specific trust and tax software already in place
  
  

Practical AI Adoption

• Identify and implement AI tools that save time or reduce errors
• Build simple AI-enabled workflows within existing platforms
• Establish clear, practical guidelines and policies for responsible AI use
• Train staff on how to use AI effectively in daily work
  
  

Workflow & Process Improvement

• Identify inefficient or manual processes
• Reduce duplicate work and manual data entry
• Improve internal reporting and information flow
  
  

Training & Enablement

• Lead practical, role-based training
• Develop simple guides and best practices
• Support adoption of new tools and workflows
  
  

What This Role Is Not

• Not an IT support or help desk role
• Not responsible for infrastructure, cybersecurity, or devices
• Not a people-management position
  
  

Those functions are supported by external IT providers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and workflow automation tools
• Experience improving business processes or systems
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools
