Primary Purpose:
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student data across attendance, enrollment, and special program reporting by overseeing data processes, supporting campuses, and aligning practices with PEIMS Data Standards and Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High School diploma or GED required
TASBO Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of PEIMS requirements
Knowledge of attendance and discipline data tracking
Experience with data entry in an educational setting
Skills in the use of computer for data collecting, editing, reporting and training
Ability to meet deadlines, attend to details and effectively use resources
Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in maintaining and working with student records including: registration, enrollment, withdrawal, student programs, demographics and cumulative files.
Campus experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate the accurate coding and auditing of data for special student populations and student programs
- Assist campuses with student attendance-related questions and help resolve issues
- Perform regular data audits and error scans to identify and correct reporting errors in student information systems
- Maintain knowledge of evolving TEA requirements and applicable best practices
- Support and contribute content for departmental communication channels to keep campus staff informed of time-sensitive issues
- Assist with district-wide enrollment reconciliation processes
- Maintain working knowledge of PEIMS Data Standards and relational comparisons of reportable data points
- Support the development and tracking of yearly timelines for data programs to ensure internal and external deadlines are met
- Serve as a resource for campus administrators and registrars by providing guidance on attendance, registration, and student information system functionality
- Collaborate with program coordinators, directors, and executive directors to help ensure program data is accurate and reflective of enrollment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the PEIMS Director and/or Executive Director of Research, Assessment, and Accountability

Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer. Frequent travel in and out of district, occasional overnight trips, travel by car or plane. The position requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, sitting, and keyboarding. Position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high.
