HR Coordinator
Full-Time | In-Office | Northwest Hospitality Group
Northwest Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support our team across six restaurant locations. This is a full-time, in-office position focused on benefits administration, workers' compensation, HR compliance, and a variety of employee support functions.
We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident working independently. The ideal candidate can manage competing priorities, solve problems proactively, and take ownership of their responsibilities while knowing when to seek guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, eligibility, life events, COBRA, and employee questions
- Manage workers' compensation (L&I) claims, documentation, and communication with employees and carriers
- Support HR compliance by maintaining accurate records and assisting with audits, reporting, and employment documentation
- Coordinate onboarding, new hire paperwork, and HRIS administration
- Ensure HR processes comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Provide professional support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist with special projects, and other HR initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Hospitality or restaurant industry experience is required
- 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in benefits administration or HR operations
- Experience managing employee benefits and HR compliance
- Familiarity with workers' compensation (L&I), leave administration, and employment laws is strongly preferred
- Experience with APS Payroll, Restaurant365 (R365), and Toast is strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Self-motivated with excellent judgment and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the HR Director when needed
