What are the responsibilities and job description for the Renovation Supervisor - Northwest Florida State College position at Northwest Florida State College?
The Renovation Supervisor position is directly accountable to the Director of Facilities for the following duties and responsibilities.
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission.
The Renovation Supervisor will perform all duties assigned by the Director of Facilities in the area of Renovation, and or repair of college facilities. The employee will plan, schedule and assign renovation projects, jobs and work task for the assigned personnel, submit take offs for all parts, materials and supplies needed to complete the assigned project. Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Director of Facilities Department.
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, squat, crawl, go up and down stairs, lift up to 35 lbs. extended standing, work on scaffolds on a daily basis.
- Maintenance, renovation and repair of all college owned facilities to include minor roof work and carpentry.
- Install, maintain and repair plumbing fixtures, piping and pumps as required, plumbing.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical conduit, equipment, wiring and components, electrical.
- Prepare surfaces, mix paint and perform painting tasks (interior/exterior).
- Mix/process concrete; perform minor road and sidewalk repair working with required materials.
- Perform any other assigned duties as requested by persons in authority assigned to the Facilities Department.
- As a part of the college's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Assist in ALL emergencies.

Job Requirements:
- Associate degree required, trade certifications or professional licensure may also be accepted.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of documented relevant work experience.
- A natural aptitude for, and a working knowledge of all related tools, equipment and materials related to construction.
- Previous construction and renovation experience required with some plumbing/HVAC/electrical background is desired.
- Skills in personnel utilization, evaluation and scheduling.
- Physically qualified to relocate heavy equipment and furniture.
- Lift a minimum of 35 Lbs. weight.
- Possess a valid Florida State Driver's License
