As a valued member of our refractive team, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive refractive workups and advanced diagnostics
  • Collect detailed medical and ocular histories
  • Accurately document findings, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Educate patients on procedures and set clear expectations
  • Assist with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
  • Administer ophthalmic medications per protocol
  • Support contact lens evaluations and training (insertion/removal)
  • Maintain efficient clinic flow and deliver an exceptional patient experience
  • Triage patient calls and ensure proper equipment sterilization
  • Uphold HIPAA and professional standards at all times

Requirements

Experience with the following is preferred:

  • Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp
  • Pentacam / Corneal Topography
  • WaveScan
  • IOLMaster / Lenstar
  • Humphrey Visual Field
  • Pachymetry & Tonometry
  • Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT
  • Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, and EOM testing
  • 1 year of ophthalmic technician or assistant experience preferred
  • Refractive or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
  • COA or COT certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a patient-first mindset
  • Comfortable using EMR systems and standard computer software
