- Perform comprehensive refractive workups and advanced diagnostics
- Collect detailed medical and ocular histories
- Accurately document findings, assessments, and treatment plans
- Educate patients on procedures and set clear expectations
- Assist with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
- Administer ophthalmic medications per protocol
- Support contact lens evaluations and training (insertion/removal)
- Maintain efficient clinic flow and deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Triage patient calls and ensure proper equipment sterilization
- Uphold HIPAA and professional standards at all times
Experience with the following is preferred:
- Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp
- Pentacam / Corneal Topography
- WaveScan
- IOLMaster / Lenstar
- Humphrey Visual Field
- Pachymetry & Tonometry
- Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT
- Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, and EOM testing
- 1 year of ophthalmic technician or assistant experience preferred
- Refractive or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
- COA or COT certification is a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with a patient-first mindset
- Comfortable using EMR systems and standard computer software
