Job Summary
The Demolition Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing projects, field crews, and subcontractors. This position requires a high level of proficiency in leadership and demolition, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the safety culture that Northwest Demolition maintains.
Travel will be required. Must be willing to travel and work from project sites across the United States for extended periods of time. Typically following a 6 week on 1 week off rotation.

- To provide leadership: Establish/maintain efficient & effective working relationships with crew and staff.
- Manage field operations and coordinate with other personnel, subcontractors, and vendors. Thorough understanding of scope of work and schedule.
- Takes personal responsibility for fostering a safe workplace by following safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret work plans and sketches, working with the Project Manger to determine work scope.
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, production schedules and estimate work requirements for completion of job assignments and schedule requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address any issues related to the project. Ensure all safety documentation is rigorously performed.
- Ability to directly supervise mid to large demolition projects with crew sizes ranging from 3-10 employees plus numerous subcontractors.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and accurately.
- Manage equipment onsite. Ensuring proper maintenance is performed on time and communicating with operations manager about maintenance and equipment needs.
- Manage onsite safety incidents according to company policy and working directly with HSE personnel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to interpret demolition plans, schedules, and construction plans accurately.
- Ability to manage and enforce safety and company policies with crew members.
- Through knowledge of demolition safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, and environmental regulations.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
- OSHA 30 hour, 40 hour hazwoper.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Demolition Superintendent within the construction industry.
