Teaching Assistant

Northwest Childcare & Development Center (NCDC) is seeking a full or part time teacher's assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and creating a nurturing environment for our young learners.

Responsibilities of the Teacher's assistant

· Assist in Lesson Planning / curriculum development

· Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices

· Adhere to policies and procedures

· Communication with families and staff

· Build positive relationship with children and their families

· Assist in completing quarterly assessments for each child

· Support the Center’s success, partnering with other staff members and leadership to achieve the Center’s goals

Qualifications of the Teacher's assistant

· CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

· 2 years of experience as I/T or Preschool teacher preferred but not required

· EEC Teacher certification preferred but not required

· Technology skills (e.g. Email)

Childcare: 2 years (Preferred)
