Position: Project Manager / Estimator
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (minimal weekend work)
Northwest Builders is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while playing a key role in the success of our operations. As a Project Manager at Northwest Builders, your work matters, your decisions have impact, and your growth isn't limited. Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from pre-construction through completion
- Prepare estimates, budgets, and project schedules
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations
- Track project progress and adjust plans to meet timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients
- Maintain project documentation (contracts, permits, change orders, etc.)
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding project status
- Assist with field operations, including supporting crews and foremen
- Serve as acting superintendent on smaller projects; support or lead on-site efforts for larger jobs
Qualifications
- Experience in construction project management or a related role preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant education will be considered)
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles
- Experience with estimating and budgeting processes
- Familiarity with construction software (Procore, RedTeam, AutoDesk, ProEst, Microsoft Project, or similar)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
