What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistant Teacher position at NORTHWEST BIBLE CHURCH OF DALLAS TX?
This position is for the 26-27 school year which is Mid-August 2026 through Mid-May 2027.
Schedule: Tues/Thurs 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
• Maintain a positive, nurturing, and loving environment.
• Prior to children’s arrival, assist with set up of the room per lead teacher instructions.
• Assist with snack preparations by getting the juice/crackers, etc.
• As children and parents are arriving, receive bags/lunch and place appropriately in the classroom.
• Assist with leading, organizing and directing the children through each routine activity.
• Play with children as they wait for parents to pick them up.
• Once children have left, clean mats, vacuum, tidy room, and place dirty sheets/blankets in laundry room.
• All other responsibilities as assigned by the classroom lead teacher.

- Ability to be flexible.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Able to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
- Able to perform physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, standing, lifting, carrying and moving quickly.
- Preferred: experience working with children.
